Hailed as “a strong personality with technique and power to spare” (Philadelphia Inquirer), Micah McLaurin is one of the outstanding pianists of his generation.  His unique versatility, singing tone-quality, depth of expression, commanding technique and personal style have garnered him a large social and press following by major publications such as Paper Magazine, WWD and other New York publications.

Micah earned a Bachelor of Music at the Curtis Institute of Music, working with Robert McDonald and Gary Graffman and then studied at Juilliard and completed his Masters degree with Jerome Lowenthal. Micah was the winner of the Gilmore Young Artist Award in 2016, an award given to the two most promising young pianists in the nation every two years.

He recently released the single and music video for “Rhapsody in Gaga”, a piano arrangement of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and “Paparazzi”. Featured in the music video are costumes by Zaldy, who has worked with many of the world's biggest stars, including Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, RuPaul, and more.

The accomplished pianist has performed as a soloist with major orchestras around the world including The Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Orquestra Filarmónica de Montevideo. He has also performed as a recitalist and chamber musician at Lincoln Center, Verbier Festival, Spoleto Festival, Musicfest Perugia, Aspen Music Festival and has collaborated with conductors including Joshua Weilerstein, JoAnn Falletta, Jahja Ling, Nicholas McGegan, and many more.
